Graphic artist Martin Minjon from Nieuwegein has designed a new shirt for the start of the Vuelta in Utrecht in 2022. Two years ago, he devised a cycling shirt for the canceled Spanish round in 2020, which will also visit Amersfoort.
What does the new shirt look like?
“The new cycling shirt is broadly similar to the old one: a black shirt with the Dom and the bicycle. But there are a few differences. New is the black and white logo with three colored stars on the front. The asterisks stand for the Vuelta, the Tour and the Giro. Utrecht is the only city to have won the starts of these three rounds. The red circle on the back of the shirt is also new. This ensures better recognisability and emphasizes Utrecht. Finally, in the collar is Utrecht Vuelta 2022.”
